We fell in love with Bambu Indah earlier this year after a leisurely stay. Not only is this jungle retreat magical, but its eco friendly design supports sustainability just like us - so we knew we wanted to shoot there. It just felt right and we immediately planned our return.
Mind you, Bambu Indah is very unique in that each room is also very different from one another - giving you a different experience each time. This was because they were carefully curated by designers and long term residents of Bali, John and Cynthia Hardy whom brought 11 antique Javanese bridal homes to bali and restored them to fine detail, ultimately starting the beautiful story of Bambu Indah.
One of a kind bamboo structures have also been added as the grounds expanded down to the riverside but the property still feels very intimate and worlds away. It was a tough decision for us choosing which room we wanted to shoot in, but after careful deliberation with photographer Angela Peterman we decided on the Copper House.
This stunning bamboo home is nestled in the high trees overlooking the Ayung River and is completely open on one side so you can enjoy a warm moon bath in the copper tub with the fireflies. It really served as the perfect back drop to our photoshoot and we cannot wait to plan our next.
See the story here and make sure to shop the collection.
