Introducing #TIALSBB of the week Alyssa Lumpee! You most likely recognize her rocking our Vintage Versace Blue Set from our recent Tials Limited II collection. We got a chance to ask her a few questions about her beauty/fitness inspiration, her favorite things to do in LA, and more!

As a beauty/fitness enthusiast, where do you find most of your inspiration from and how have you inspired others?

I've always looked up to my Mom when it comes to beauty because she taught me how the importance of skincare from a young age and we love trying and sharing new products we find! Both of my parents have been through a lot health wise but they're both in such a good place now so I really feel proud and thankful that they value their health so much. They give me the inspiration to look after my body and take care of myself in all aspects of my life. I know there are a lot of unhealthy habits that are common in the entertainment industry, some that I've indulged in myself before, so I hope people can be inspired by my desire to live a healthy and balanced life!

What is your favorite vegan dish?

My favorite vegan dish to have at home is just pasta with marinara sauce because it’s so easy, yet so satisfying. If I go out to eat though, I love going to Sage Plant-Based Bistro here in LA for brunch and getting their jalapeno cornbread pancakes. They have so many amazing plant-based options there and it's a great spot that pretty much anyone could find something to enjoy!

What was the toughest transition for you moving from Texas to California?

The toughest transition I had was getting used to the acting and modeling industry here. I came here for it and I knew that it wasn't easy, but once I started going to castings and seeing what the daily grind was like, it was on a whole new level. The whole LA culture in general is so different here than back in Texas! Some days it seemed like a better option to go back home, but instead of giving up, I've learned how to use my frustration and turn it into motivation.

What is your favorite thing to do in Los Angeles?

My favorite thing to do in LA is definitely going on hikes! The land was pretty much flat where I'm from so to have these beautiful mountains to explore is so exciting for me. It's such a great way for me to take a break from the craziness of the city for a bit and just enjoy nature.

What is your favorite workout routine?

My favorite workout routine is anything that has jumping in it! I played volleyball in high school so I just kinda have it in me to love getting off the ground. It probably sounds weird but it just makes me feel so bad ass to jump on those huge boxes. I think it really helps keep my legs toned too!

What is your favorite era of music and why? What is your favorite song from that era?

My favorite era of music was definitely in the early 2000's. I love listening to what's on the radio nowadays and Lana Del Rey is my favorite current artist, but there's just something that makes me feel so happy about driving around listening to some Britney Spears or Christina Milian. It's so hard to choose a favorite song from that time but I think "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani is a song I'd never press skip on. Also, I get made fun of for it all the time, but I love country music from the early 2000's as well because it's just what I grew up listening to mostly. I don't know if I actually like the music, if it's comforting, or if it just makes me laugh that I actually listen to it, but it always puts me in a good mood.
