Exactly one month ago we concluded Coachella 2012 or what we like to call Coldchella. Since we just got back, posting this earlier was a hard option because holiday (and working on a holiday) is a big distraction. So you’ve probably heard it all before, read about it on twitter, seen it on instagram or watched it all live on youtube real time (did you see Azealia Banks’ big fat tears rolling down her cheeks?). We are definitely late but everyone loves Coachella stories and photos (see ours here). We are not going to lie, first day was bloody cold and we were hatin’ it. It felt more like Glastonbury than a festival in the desert but temperatures warmed up as soon as the weekend hit and peeps traded their wellies for sandals, except for Lindsay Lohan who decided Litas are comfortable enough but we all know she makes questionable decisions. For some reason, Coachella 2012 was even more packed than last year although it was spread over 2 weekends. Then again, who wants to have sloppy seconds. Certainly, wouldn’t experience the same surprise effect when Rihanna took stage during Calvin Harris plus crowd surfing with Katy Perry and not to mention Eminem, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar individually popping up for a song or two with Snoop and Dre. Now, we’re sure both weekends got to see Hologram Tupac but that was so creepy, I still can’t figure out whether that’s a Coachella highlight or lowlight. One thing’s for sure, I hope next year’s line up doesn’t consist of dead celebrities because one half million dollar projection is enough. I’m putting my money on No Doubt for 2013. And what do you know? Just as we have finally recovered from this year’s 3 days bender (with Neon Carnival in between), 2013 is already going on sale tomorrow. So are you going? Don’t ask us because that’s a stupid question.

P.S. If you are going again or for the first time, do you fall in any of these types? We are definitely ruling out kids on ecstasy and people with babies but what are you?

COACHELLA 2012

This time last year, we were getting ready to leave Bali for our first ever Coachella experience and not knowing what to expect we were blown away off the bat (check out our Coachella 2011 day 1, day 2 and day 3 albums). We knew we had to go again. We are only ___ days left until this year’s festival and we are pretty much packed and ready to go (NYC first baby!) and embark on this musical pilgrimage the second time. With equal excitement we keep checking everyday for the release of a convenient little organizer called Coachooser, knowing already who we are looking forward to seeing. Here’s just a few:
